AUGUST 2010 The 2nd Open Day at Nelson Park Riding Centre was a total sucess, bouncy castles, coconut shy, Request Disco's, The Real Ice Cream Company, Raffles, Tombolla's Horizon Sea Safari's plus over 100 riders and their families all enjoyed the day.

OCTOBER 2009 Hunter Trials, we have yet more and more new jumps, and we have now expanded our cross country course into another 4 acres !!
   
AUGUST 2009 End of summer camp holiday was even more fun this year, traditionally our waterfight between staff and riding clients is a very wet occasion, this year the staff had a secret weapon, many thanks to Margate Fire Brigade for the loan of our water pistol !
   
   
June 2009 Beach Hack Season begins, from June to the end of August we managed to get 6 beach hacks, on the 24th June we took our largest group of the year to Margate

MARCH 2009 The New Online Calendar for all our events and shows etc is now online, sign up and get a direct email from the calendar telling you about all the events going on !
   
JANUARY 2009 Our large indoor school gets a new surface, click here to see the pictures, our thanks to Ovenden's for the prompt delivery of the near 400 tonnes of silica sand and Ling's for the rubber chippings.

December 2008 The Nelson Park Riding Club went to Olympia  again this year and we got to meet the stars including William Funnel. We are looking forward to next years show !

   
November 2008 The indoor school has just had all its surface removed and replaced with over 200 tonnes of silica sand and rubber chippings.
   
JULY 2008 More Cross Country jumps have been built and we have added two more shows October and November
   
JULY 2008 We have completed the building and replacement of all stable doors, windows and frames !!!
     
JUNE 2008 Nelson Park Riding Centre now have its own group on facebook

MARCH 2008 A big well done to the candidates on the recent BHS PTT Teaching examination held at Nelson Park on the 28th March 2008 and in such awful weather conditions, and  big big thank you to all of our staff who got up extra extra early (4am) to ensure the yard and horses were ready and waiting for the candidates and examiners.
   
MARCH 2008 Nelson Park played host to a seminar about Worming of horses, with Whitemill Veterinary Practice in Sandwich and Virbac, all the refreshments were supplied by The Deli in Birchington.
   
FEBRUARY 2008 The Nelson Park gifts are now available, mugs, keyrings, rulers and moneyboxes are all available from the office with a choice of your favourite horse or pony printed, all the mugs and moneyboxes are 100% dishwasher safe.

From the 20th, 21st and 22nd Feb everyone made a great improvement in their riding skills and abilities, Places were 1st Kezziah Morcom (Liquorice), 2nd Amy Napier (Louis), 3rd Rachel Champkin (Joker), 4th Rachel Napier (YoYo), 5th Charlotte Wayman (Millie), 6th Jessica Jeavons (CoCo), 7th Emily Fort (Pringle) and 8th Olivia Green (Alfie)

FEBRUARY 2008 New Stable doors and frames are being built, as part of the ongoing yard improvement scheme its time to replace all of the stable doors and frames.
   
JANUARY 2008 BHS Examination dates have now been confirmed, please see the exam dates page.
   
DECEMBER 2007 The new size school is now complete ! its 40 x 40 and fully floodit !, over 200 tonnes o silica sand and nearly 220 tonnes of rubber surface has now been laid.
   
NOVEMBER 2007 We have begun to extend our largest school, to see the pictures please see our picture gallery.
     
OCTOBER 2007 New Photo Galleries have been added, thanks to Google picasa, all pictures are available to purchase at £3.00 per A4 image, printed on full gloss.

 Our new automated road gate has now been installed, all you need to do is drive upto the sign on the right and the gate automatically opens !  To exit please press the green button on the wall of the room with the vending machine in.

Please remember our strict 5mph speed rule whilst on our premises, its there for the safety of your children and the animals in our care.

   
June 2007 Larger Car Park facilities have now been created, due to the number of visitors we are now getting we have increased the size of our car park, 180 tonnes of tarmac later !!!!

September 2006    Another 18 tonnes of new rubber surface has been delivered to the yard, its going to be laid into one of our outdoor schools.
